From 2002 to 2007 I moderated dozens of roundtable discussions with corporate CIOs (Chief Information Officers) and other executives on the issues they were facing, for both Silicon Valley’s Churchill Club and for the Center for Digital Strategies at Dartmouth University Tuck School of Business.

Here are a few videos of these sessions. What strikes me now, a decade away from the specific topics being discussed, was that these CIOs were grappling (struggling, really) with the sweeping changes of globalization, across-the-board restructuring of how business is done, and a deluge of data, all accelerated by the tech boom of the late ’90s and then 9/11.

This June 2003 panel discussion featured Geir Ramleth (CIO, Bechtel), David Bergen (CIO, Levi-Strauss), Brad Boston (CIO, Cisco), and Geoff Penney (CIO, Schwab):

This April 2006 discussion featured Randy Spratt (CIO, McKesson Corp.), John Johnson (CIO, Intel), Lars Rabbe (CIO, Yahoo) andĀ Geir Ramleth (CIO, Bechtel):

This November 2004 discussion featured David Bergen (CIO, Levi Strauss), Marty Chuck (CIO, Agilent), Ron Markezich (CIO, Microsoft), and Fred Matteson (CIO, Fireman’s Fund):
